Cookie policy
Cookies are small files that a website saves in your browser. This page explains what we use similar technologies for, and how you stay in control.
Storage that is necessary
The site uses your browser’s local storage, not cookies, for things you ask for or that make the site work: your theme (light or dark), your cookie choice, and, in some tools, the values you last entered so you can pick up where you left off (never files or code opened in the HTML viewer). This information stays on your device. It is not used to track you and does not require consent, because it is strictly needed for features you ask for.
| Name | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| baf-theme | Remembers your light or dark theme | Until you clear it |
| baf:… | Remembers the values you last entered in a tool; never sent to the server. Remove with “Clear saved data” | Until you clear it |
Cookies that need your consent
Analytics and advertising cookies are not used unless you accept them. When they are switched on, the banner asks for your choice first, with “Accept all” and “Reject all” given equal weight.
| Type | Provider | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Statistics | Google Analytics | Measures visits in aggregate (cookies named _ga and _ga_*). |
| Advertising | Google AdSense and partners | Delivers ads and measures their results. |
Current state of this site: Google Analytics is not active; advertising is not active. Best Tool For Me does not use cookies for anything else.
How to change your choice
Analytics and advertising are not active, so there is nothing to change. If they are switched on in future, a consent banner will ask for your choice first. You can delete the data kept on your device in your browser settings; the exact steps depend on the browser.
For more on how data is processed, see the privacy policy.
